Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously cast steel excellent in cleanliness by inexpensively and efficiently removing inclusion suspended in molten steel such as Al 2 O 3 in a tundish. SOLUTION: The molten steel in the tundish is poured into a mold 5 while blowing a mixed gas of argon and a non-oxidizing gas soluble in the molten steel 1 into the molten steel in the tundish 4 or in the molten steel to be injected into the tundish. At that time, the blowing flow rate of the mixed gas (Nm 3 /min) is set to be within the range from 1/100 to 1/20 against the pass flow rate (m 3 /min) of the molten steel and the argon concentration of the mixed gas is set to be within the range from 50% by volume to 95% by volume. Further, it is preferable to use at least one kind from among a nitrogen gas, a hydrogen gas, and a propane gas as the non-oxidizing gas soluble in the molten steel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
【課題】Al 2  O 3  等の溶鋼中に懸濁する介在物をタンディッシュ内で安価に且つ効率良く除去し、清浄性の優れた鋼を連続鋳造する。 【解決手段】アルゴンと、溶鋼1に溶解可能な非酸化性ガスとの混合ガスを、タンディッシュ4内の溶鋼中若しくはタンディッシュ内に注入される溶鋼中に吹き込みながら、タンディッシュ内の溶鋼を鋳型5内に注湯する。その際に、混合ガスの吹き込み流量(Nm 3  /min)を、溶鋼の通過流量(m 3  /min)に対して1/100〜1/20の範囲内とすること、混合ガスのアルゴン濃度を、50体積%〜95体積%の範囲内とすること、更に、溶鋼に溶解可能な非酸化性ガスとして、窒素ガス、水素ガス、プロパンガスのうちの1種若しくは2種以上を用いることが好ましい。 【選択図】      図1
